Patsy Ferran - Fran

PATSY FERRAN has appeared in numerous independent films, such as Eva Husson’s “Mothering Sunday” with Olivia Coleman and Josh O'Connor, Marc Forster's "White Bird", Coky Giedroyc’s “How to Build a Girl,” Joe Wright’s “Darkest Hour,” Francis Lee’s award winning “God’s Own Country,” and Justin Chadwick’s “Tulip Fever”. She most recently worked with Oliver Hermanus on his latest feature “Living".

On television, Ferran was a series regular on “Jamestown,” for Sky and appeared opposite Gemma Arterton in “Black Narcissus,” (BBC/ FX). Earlier this year she shot John Crowley's "Life After Life" (BBC).

Ferran works extensively on stage, both professionally and during her earlier training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She made her professional debut opposite Angela Lansbury in 'Blithe Spirit' in London's West End. Recent credits include “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” on Broadway with Laurie Metcalfe, “A Christmas Carol,” (Bridge Theatre) “Summer and Smoke,” (Almeida / West End) “The Three Sisters” (Almeida Theatre),  “The Merchant of Venice” for the Royal Shakespeare Company and  “As You Like It” and "Treasure Island" for the National Theatre. She can be seen later this year in "Camp Siegfried" (Old Vic).

Her performances have earned her the Olivier Award for Best Actress (Summer and Smoke); two Critics’ Circle Awards, for Best Actress (Summer and Smoke) and Most Promising Newcomer (Blithe Spirit / Treasure Island); recognition as one of the Screen International Stars of Tomorrow; and a nomination for the Evening Standard Theatre Award.
